Taking brands on TV for the first time
Charlie Bigham’s were at a stage in their development where TV advertising made sense – the brand is one of the fastest growing businesses in the FMCG category with retail sales value increasing from £5m to £32m in the last few years. They felt that TV was the perfect way to share their story and to get people to discover their food across the UK.
We undertook the challenge of creating their first ever TV ad that would launch them on to the nation’s screens. By bringing the Bigham’s ‘twosomes’, Hugo and Emily, to life we created a charming and stylish piece of animation that would resonate with consumers both old and new. The characters had graced the packs for years and it was a natural progression to use them as the stars of the ad in order to help with brand recognition.
Sally Phillips (Miranda) and Robert Bathurst (Toast of London) lend their unique blend of humour to the voices.
Bigham's retail sales value has grown from £5m to £32m over the last 5 years.
